1) Immediately send one (1) card to each of the names listed below along with this letter.
2) Remove the name in number one on the list and move the other four names up one position (#2 will become #1, etc.) Then place your name in the number five (#5) position. (This can be done easily by typing or printing the five names on a strip of paper and gluing or taping over the existing names on this sheet.)
3) Photocopy or print 200 or more copies of all the information in this envelope, this letter has YOUR NAME now in the #5 position.

About six months ago I received the enclosed letter and I ignored it. I received about five more of this same letter within the next few months. I threw them away too. I was tempted to follow through and MAKE my December, but I was convinced it was just a hoax and it could not possibly work: I was wrong! About three weeks later I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I did not expect much because I figured if other people were as skeptical as I, they whould not be too quick to respond. Two weeks went by and I did not receive any cards, third week still nothing, fourth week rolled around and I could not believe what was happening! Within a few more weeks I had collected in excess of 32,000 cards! (For the first time in years I knew the spirit of Christmas. It did not take me long to want more, so I am using -this excellent card making opportunity once again ... follow the instructions and get ready to enjoy!

I tried a similar program in which the return was only 1,500 cards (about three percent). The first time I sent cards with the enclosed approach, I got my first response in just one week CI sent out 500 cards instead of only 200 cards, so my responses were much higher and faster than my first attempt.) I am trying again with 1000 cards this time to see if I surpass the 123,000 I collected the last time.

I am a skeptical person by nature, and I had received at least 35 different letters like this one in a six month period. However, there was something about this particular letter that I liked. The initial investment was a great deal less than any of the other letters I had received before and I also like the fact that all participants received cards, not just the person in the top position. Anyway, I sent out 200 of these cards and hoped for the best. Everyday I checked the mail, hoping for a response, nothing happened for eleven days. On day twelve, I started to get responses…on that day I received 578!! Over the next four and one-half months I received 23,988 in the mail! Now, that the letter I sent out seems to have run dry--I am going to try it again! I think I will send out 1,000 letters this time. I hope I do not sound too greedy, but now that I have all these CARDS … I WANT MORE!!!!
